Anyone towing a 2020 Chevrolet Colorado 4x4 Crew Cab?
Looking for a new toad and was thinking about a midsize truck.

That's one of the many reasons I still have my 2005 Suzuki XL7 hold the neutral button till it goes clunk tow it any where you want then hold the neutral button when you get to your destination till it goes clunk again and off you go. Never ever, did I mention, never ever had an issue.

We’re towing a 2019 Ford Ranger. I liked the Chevy, but didn’t want to deal with the battery disconnect. The Ranger is easy to put into tow mode and we like the truck.

I would have liked a Jeep myself, but the wife doesn’t like them.

I have a 2018 Chevy Colorado Crew Cab and absolutely love the truck. It's a fun truck to drive. We traded a Chevy Outback SUV for this truck and enjoy the truck much more than the SUV, although the Chevy Outback was a great vehicle too:

I've never towed it, but one reason we purchased this specific truck was so, in the future, our lifestyle changed, we could tow it. As it turns out, about 2 months later we traded our travel trailer for a fifth wheel, and not a motor home. But still....

Anyway, according to my Owner's Manual, here is how the truck can be towed 4 down. If the truck is 2 wheel drive, it has to be towed on a tow dolly. 4 wheel drive can be towed 4 down:

Click here for the Owners Manual, go to page 349

Four-Wheel-Drive Vehicles
Only dinghy tow four-wheel-drive
vehicles that have an N (Neutral)
and a Four-Wheel Drive Low (4 (n)
setting.
{ Warning
Shifting a four-wheel-drive
vehicle's transfer case into
N (Neutral) can cause the vehicle
to roll even if the transmission is
in P (Park). You or others could
(Continued)
Warning (Continued)
be injured. Set the parking brake
before shifting the transfer case
to N (Neutral).
To dinghy tow:
1. Position the vehicle being
towed behind the tow vehicle,
facing forward and on a level
surface.
2. Securely attach the vehicle
being towed to the tow vehicle.
3. Apply the parking brake and
start the engine.
4. Shift the transfer case to
N (Neutral). See “Shifting into
N (Neutral)” under Four-Wheel
Drive 0 231. Check that the
vehicle is in N (Neutral) by
shifting the transmission to
R (Reverse) and then to D
(Drive). There should be no
movement of the vehicle while
shifting.
5. Turn the engine off.

Chevrolet Colorado Owner Manual (GMNA-Localizing-U.S./Canada/Mexico11349743) - 2018 - crc - 10/12/17 350 Vehicle Care

Caution
Failure to disconnect the negative
battery cable or to have it contact
the terminals can cause damage
to the vehicle.
6. Disconnect the negative
battery cable at the battery and
secure the nut and bolt. Cover
the negative battery post with a
non-conductive material to
prevent any contact with the
negative battery terminal.
7. Shift the transmission to
P (Park).
Caution
If the steering column is locked,
vehicle damage may occur.
8. Move the steering wheel to
make sure the steering column
is unlocked.
9. With a foot on the brake pedal,
release the parking brake.
Keep the ignition key in the
towed vehicle in ACC/
ACCESSORY to prevent the
steering column from locking.
Disconnecting the Towed Vehicle
Before disconnecting the towed
vehicle:
1. Park on a level surface.
2. Set the parking brake, then
shift the transmission to
P (Park), and move the ignition
key to OFF.
3. Connect the battery.
4. Apply the brake pedal.
5. Shift the transfer case out of
N (Neutral) to Two-Wheel Drive
High. See “Shifting out of
N (Neutral)” under Four-Wheel
Drive 0 231. See your dealer if
the transfer case cannot be
shifted out of N (Neutral).
6. Check that the vehicle is in
Two-Wheel Drive High by
shifting the transmission to
R (Reverse) and then to D
(Drive). There should be
movement of the vehicle while
shifting.
7. Shift the transmission to
P (Park) and turn off the
ignition.
8. Disconnect the vehicle from the
tow vehicle.
9. Release the parking brake.
10. Reset any lost presets.
The outside temperature
display will default to 0 °C
(32 °F) but will reset with
normal usage

My bad ... duh! We had a previous Keystone Outback. The SUV was Chevy Equinox. It's been 2 years since we sold them. We had the Outback TT 5 years and the Equinox about 4, and now, even 2 years later, both gone, and STILL get "Outback" messed up in my head. Yes.... because of the Subaru. Oh Duh!

on edit: My grandfather was a die-hard Chevy owner, my dad was a die-hard Chevy owner (although he did own a Pontiac once, and a Buick), and some how, I became a Chevy life-time owner too ... except for that one Oldsmobile I had a few years. Now my son? what does he do? His first car he purchased all on his own was a Chrysler PT Cruiser, and now his second a Dodge Grand Caravan .... oh well, there's still hope for my 7 year old grandson!

I tow a 2019 Canyon Denali 4x4 great truck! Tows great, never know its behind you. Using a blue ox avail with AirForce 1 and a push button
battery disconnect under the dash.
Once you figure out the steps to put the trans in neutral mode. It’s easy. I keep a cheat sheet of a page from the manual above the visor.

Ditto with Granite17. I tow the same truck. But use a ReadyBrake system which I have set up on my 13 Edge, so kept the same so I can tow either one with same hookup. It tows great. Also use the Roadmaster battery disconnect with button under the dash.
