Anyone towing a Nissan Versa 4 down?

I'm considering purchasing a 2011 Versa base model with 5 speed manual transmission. Would like to hear from anyone who has experience.

Found this:

"See section #9 page 17 in the owners manual. Manual trans you must stop every 500 miles to start up the engine to spin the internal transmission parts to lubricate the trans internal parts shafts bearings."

So basically, every gas or eats stop.. Most dont go much farther than that in a day anyways. Maybe less... you should be ok.

My back gives up after about 250 miles, so we travel at a more leisurely pace than most. I have taken a nap and continued on, but never made more than 400 miles in any one day.

I have scoured the internet looking for Versas with a manual transmission. Looks like there may be fewer than 50 in the whole country. Called a So Wash dealer and they said they couldn't find one within their trading range. So far it looks like there are 2 currently along my intended path south. Any idea how long it takes to get one if you order it from the factory? That might be my best bet. At least I could pick the color -- out of 4, big decision, huh? Car dealers don't seem to want to give out much info.
