Anyone use Roadmaster even brake

The shop wants to install this as part of my towing setup. I am not liking how it is held in place by the front seat holding the unit in place. Is this brake setup safe and reliable? I have a week or so to make up my mind. Looking for some feedback from any owners of this brake system.

We use it. It works great in out 1999 Durango w/manual seats.

It is a little annoying having to take it out to drive the Durango and putting it back in to tow but, it is what it is.

Would I buy another one? Absolutely I would.

Hope this helps you.

Thank you for the reply. I guess my big concern is the ability of the unit to stay in place.

Where's it going to go? It is clamped to the pedal, and has a height adjustment for the seat. If need be level the floor.

I used one for years, before I installed the Brakemaster.
