I test drove the Gladiator and was very impressed. I tried to hit every bump and pothole and both Jean & I thought it took them much better than my Sierra. It handled nicely and was quiet enough at 70+.
Then as soon as I got back in the Sierra I said "I like this better" The Sierra is just not as cool as the Gladiator but it fits me better. Also I just save $ 50,000+!!!

I see that Maximus 3 makes the tow loops for the JL. Does anyone know if they make them for a TJ or if the ones for the JL will work. I can't believe that the frames are that different, the Jeep hasn't changed that much in 50 years.

I have a '14 JKU. I installed the Roadmaster baseplate but am considering changing to a bumper to pull with.
SmittyBilt put it on writing that theirs was designed for towing behind a motorhome.
DV8 stated their bumpers can't be used to tow with and you must use other baseplates.

I have been looking for a front bumper for a TJ so I can tow it 4 down and most say no. Thanks for the tip on smittybuilt. I will look at them. It is very hard right now to get to talk with anyone. Even E Trailer doesn't have phone number on their site anymore.

I flat towed my TJ for 12 years with a Warn bumper, with winch. Very stout. Do not recall if they approved it for that purpose, or not.
