I like the blue ox. Now on my 4th toad with one. I do the install myself. Do the install properly, very strong, and I like the included safety cables to tie the baseplate to the frame.

I know this thread is a bit old but I am going through this now. I have a 2016 SRX and will be doing the Roadmaster EZ4 baseplate install soon (parts arrive in 5 days). I chose this route primarily because the install is much less involved, there's a lot of drilling in the BlueOx install. But, you have to chop out a lot more of the lower grille for the Roadmaster, which I'm not thrilled about. You can buy a new lower grille for about $90 so you can restore the look if you eventually sell to a non-RVer. I think I'm going to repaint the lower grille all black so it'll look more stealth and less like knocked-out teeth! Maybe Plasti-dip so I can peel it off if the wife hates the black!

Blue Ox I believe is the cleanest look.

I'm in the midst of installing my Roadmaster/AFO system and am very pleased with how clean the install is to this point. I've strayed from RM's instructions to get a more stealth look, moving the electrical, air and breakaway connections to the underside of the air dam. I removed the whole lower grille insert and separated the black grid from the "chrome" accent. Cut the whole black grid from the leftmost and rightmost sections, then very carefully trimmed the "chrome" to meet the safety chain eyelets. Everything but the eyelets I painted flat black so that it would just kind of disappear in the shadows. The result looks pretty "factory" to me. Very pleased with the look.

I too have a 2016 SRX Cadillac and I installed the Blue Ox baseplate. I followed the instructions to 1/16"
or less. At the end of the install it became apparent why some measurements had to be exact. I did not have to trim ANY of the grill or fascia. The results were perfect on this Cadillac. So if anyone wants an excellent tow car, the SRX is an excellent choice when paired with a Blue Ox baseplate. The Airforce One works well with this model as well. Good luck to all.
