Battery disconnect 2016 Suburban?

What battery disconnect has anyone found that works on a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban?

This one seems like a tight fight and difficult to tighten the connections.

Just remove it and find a socket and handle at a thrift store to keep in the battery tray. Be almost as easy as dealing with that setup.

This is what I installed on my Suburban. https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories...er/RM-766.html. Then I don't have to pop the hood and disconnect the battery. It's all done from the drivers seat.

I used the same on my Colorado, which also requires battery disconnect.

Awesome!

Would you be able to send some picture of where you installed the solenoid? On mine, the battery is jammed all the way in back and the negative terminal is under the hood hinge. I'm just brain storming installing that roadmaster unit and wondering where I would run the cables.

Thanks so much!

Thanks.

The Suburban has a different layout underhood and says to disconnect the negative cable, so I'm looking for photos of setups for that model.

The owners manual states to disconnect the negative cable for your safety. The Roadmaster is designed for install on the positive cable. During install, disconnect the negative cable first and tuck it away so it cannot flop back over and make contact with the battery terminal. Then you can safely work with the positive connection.

The Roadmaster is THE best way.

Iíve attached pictures of my install. Ultimately it doesnít matter if you disconnect the positive or negative, just that you break the circuit. Chevy saying disconnect the negative is primarily to minimize the chance youíll connect a metal wrench to ground.
