Battery draining on tow vehicle - Blue Ox braking system

Hi all. We're still learning the ins and outs of our Blue Ox braking system but seem(ed) to have it down. Our trip from southern FL to northern FL went fine, but heading back home the Bronco (tow) battery died after a few hours. We took the closest RV park for the night and thought we figured out what happened, however today it died again in only about 45 minutes or so on the road. We did everything the way we did it before (on our way north). Very confused.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. And of course being the wife with a generic description of what happened please ask any questions you might need answered in order to help better. I'll ask my husband if I can't answer

Btw I tried calling Blue Ox. Customer svc numbers listed on their website not in service.

I'm not familiar with Ford's instructions for recreational towing. The idea you are seeing a dead battery in 45 minutes tells me you may be leaving the vehicle in accessory mode when it needs to be off?

Manual or automatic transmission Bronco?
What model and year is your Blue Ox - Patriot I assume?
Do you have a charge line to your battery from the 6 pin connector?
- is the charge line proprietary if so whats the manufacturer?
- is the charge line non-proprietary?

I have a charge line that prevents this.
