Battery minder

So, here is my set up; 2017 Jeep JKU, Ready Brute Elite tow bar.
Comment came up that I need a battery tender of some sort to maintain the battery so I can start the Jeep after towing.
True?

It's hard to say, mine is a 2007 Wrangler 4 Dr and I have a Optima gel cell and it always starts right up after a full day of traveling. I turn the key to acc and never worry about it.
