Blue Ox for 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid
Blue Ox now has a base plate for the new 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid. Our car was the model used for fitting the first base plate.
We have the Titanium model with front parking sensors and active cruise control, so it should work for all Hybrid models and presumably the plug in version coming later in the spring.
Blue Ox might not be taking orders yet, but very soon will be publicizing it.
Not for non Hybrid models.
Next step is to get the SMI Air Force One installed.

Good news and congrats!
I appreciate the fact that it was built for your Titanium - with the extra sensors and active cruise; that's the model I just bought so it's the final piece to the puzzle, knowing they do not preclude the base plate.
Also, in case anyone is interested (and not to hijack your thread) - RoadMaster will have theirs out soon; it has passed the stress test and whatnot - so has been advanced to production so we'll have 2 top quality vendors, at minimum...
Good luck!

Air Force One installed on Monday. Will be 10 days before I get a chance to actually tow the car.

Timely post! We just found the 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid Titanium that we want and our dealer is just waiting for the go ahead. We’re trying to sell our 2017 Ford C-Max Hybrid ourselves for a few days first, otherwise we might just trade it. We were just talking about Roadmaster and wondering if they had a baseplate yet.

Yes, Roadmaster has a baseplate and, unlike Blue Ox (last I looked) it is showing on their website when you search for the Vehicle. Still, both companies have them in production. My Newmar dealer works with Blue Ox and will do the install, and so it'll be Blue Ox for us.
Good luck!

We did have the Air Force One installed and towed the Escape today for the first time.
No problems except a message from the car after a few hours (via the Ford app) saying that it was shutting down the remote features (start, lock, unlock...) to conserve battery power.
At the next rest area we stopped to run the car thinking the battery was running down, but as soon as we started it, it kicked into hybrid mode and the engine shut down. So not sure if it was low or not.
We don't tow again for 5 weeks, so we will see if that becomes a problem and a charge line needs to be added to the system.

Help with a Patriot braking system
Hello folks new to this forum. Just trying to finish the install on my 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid. I am having problems getting a constant power source for the braking system. Suggestions or recommendations please. Thanks.

We had another low battery issue after towing again. Going to be adding a charge line from the motorhome.
Although the car's is turned off, I suspect that some systems are energized while in 'Neutral Tow' mode.

If you have a 7 pin connector on the towing vehicle, you should have 12 volts available to power the braking system in the toad.
