Blue Ox Patriot II

I am looking for a brake system for my new to me 2012 Honda CRV.
If anyone is using the patriot II system could I hear what likes and or dislikes you have with it.

Thanks in advance.

I have no experience with the Patriot, but you might also look at the RVI3 brake. It's smaller, lighter and faster acting than the Patriot.

I have used a BlueOx Patriot for years on my CRV. The reinforced front of the drivers side seat on the CRV provides very good support for the Patriot. It is a true Proportional system with adjustable gain depending on the terrain you are operating in. Typically I leave mine set at 3 (default is 5) but if I want to increase sensitivity it is easily done by the dial from the remote control in the coach. I did have issues with the original Patriot but the replacement has been flawless.
As with any system, there are pros and cons but I would not hesitate to go with the Patriot again should the need arise.

Researchin Patriot II also....

This is the new improved Patriot II. The question I have is just HOW the braking of the unit takes place. Is it similar to an inertial brake controller? What is the purpose of the unit that plugs in ONLY to a 12 volt (cig lighter) outlet? How does it work ???
