Blue Ox Tow Bar locked in stow position

I have a Blue Ox Alpha 2 that is in the locked position for stowage. I’ve owned it about four years since new. I was in-between RV’s and it was not used for about 18 months. Now I’m not able to release it from “stow” position and deploy the arms down for towing. Thanks.

That looks very similar to the Apollo I use. To be honest, I’m not certain what stowed position you are referring to, but I think the answer to your problem is to liberally spray some silicone lubricant at every pivot point.

Further, if your arms won’t extend, remove the rubber boots and spray away.

I agree with the lubricant suggestion. May have to bump it on the floor a could of times to break the seal. Yo do have the small lever pressed down I'm sure??

Spoke with Blue Ox. Picking up a couple of impact socket tools to remove both arms and loosen second bolt attaching to yoke. 1 1/8” and 1 1/16” nuts. This should loosen up whatever is binding from longer storage non-ops. I’ll update thread.
