Brake Buddy 3 select questions

I have a BB 3 select installed in a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.
I have two issues.
1. The brake pedal clamp can be very difficult to clamp on. I have had to struggle with the lever several times. The lever will not move easily from right to left and clamp down.

2. While setting the unit on the floor in front of the driver seat, it will not sit securely on the floor. If you know the Jeep floor it is not very flat. I have tried adjusting the legs to get it to sit better with limited success. It also seems like a tight fit from the front of the seat to the brake pedal. Also when bleeding the unit it wobbles around on the floor and makes you wonder if it is working properly when on the road. If I move the seat up too much I worry I will burn up the brakes

Questions: Does anyone else have issues with clamping on the brake Clevis?

Any hints or tricks to setting up the unit on the floor specifically for the Jeep Wrangler?

...... believe that you can disconnect the clevis & install separately in advance & then connect with a lock pin to BB unit. It may make it easier for you.

.... in our use don't need to the Encore GX has more than ample room & with electric seat movement pretty easy to adjust for setup & bleeding, positioning.

Brake Buddy sent me a new clevis with a different design from the original. I tried it and it appears to be easier to clamp on the brake pedal. Makes me wonder if they were having issues with other customers and the original clevis. I give them credit for shipping me a new one free of charge

For general info .... Brake Buddy has excellent customer service & support.

We had a brake buddy always conking out after driving & sometimes even when initial purging. Thought immediately it was the BB & shipped it to them free of charge, they found nothing wrong but did replace a broken adjustable leg & returned.

That same week, after research on line, noticed that my battery jumper pack (used to power the BB & safety brake release) was on recall because it did not keep a charge .... that was the problem. (Used the battery jumper for the BB since we have to disconnect the toad negative battery side).

Will replace the jumper pack under recall & all will be well.
