Angry Brake Buddy comes on by itself

My 2000 Brake Buddy Classic came on 4 times today by itself. twice on I-5 with coach on Cruise on the flat, once going uphill and once going down. Tonight in camp we were watching TV and the receiver on the dash lit up three different times. I went to the toad and unplugged the power cord. Thoughts?

Call 'em!

I would call them at 1-800-470-2287 (from their website). I'm guessing they will have several likely possibilities for you to investigate. I know they will be very interested in helping you get it fixed. With great blogs like these, no company can stand the bad press anymore...it goes viral in hours!

I just talked to Brad @ Hopkins. He was very helpful. I need to send it in for repair. Probably a circuit board. I bought it used on Craigslist. They may do a upgrade, if it was not already done. Otherwise they offer a trade in program giving me a new Vantage Select for $650. Great Customer Service. IMHO.

WOW, $650.00 to upgrade. I sent mine in and they couldn't fix so they offered me a upgrade. NO WAY. For less money you can get a READY BRAKE and have a true proportional braking system. And it doesn't drain your battery (no electrical hok up needed). Go to their website and see. there are many tabs on IRV2 praising the ready brake. safe travels.. ed
