Brake Buddy digital classic portable auxilary system #39499

Hello,

Getting our 2011 coachmen mirada 34' mh set up for towing. Camping World is recommending the above. Will be towing a 2013 Ford Focus.

Does anyone have this particular model and if you're familiar with the Brake Buddy systems is this a good choice or should I go with a different model? Newbie at camping. Thank you.

You'll get a world of answers here, but I have the Brake Buddy Classic. Works exactly as it should and is easy to setup. FYI look for a used one on Ebay or Craigslist and save a bundle.

It's a competent unit but there are many others as good or better (more convenient). CW is just recommending what they have.

I would also consider the RVI Brake, for the same price. Smaller and a newer design. Most sellers will match the current CW sale price too, or buy on ebay or Amazon yourself.

My issue with Brake Buddy is the fact you have to install it and remove and store it every time.. Compared to say Invisible brake, or SMI Stay and play, or US-Gear Unified Brake Decelerator.. That's a lot of work.
