Brake Buddy Mounting Assembly
Go tired of trying to find a "sweet spot" between floor and front of seat in our Geo Tracker. I built a "cage" that controls the backward and up/down rocking motion. Fastens to seat tracks ... remove 2 bolts ... replace with 2 longer bolts and a stack of washers epoxied together (so I don't fumble with washers). Takes about 6 minutes to install/deinstall both the cage and BrakeBuddy. I can slide the BrakeBuddy out separately and drive the car with the cage in place but my wife cant (I drive with seat all the way back). When actuated the BrakeBuddy now moves only 1/2" rearward until the foam cushion on the handle is compressed. No movement upward or side-to-side. I also installed a battery disconnect and hardwired polarized connector with fuse. The old cigarette lighter connection is a weak link and draws a lot of amps. About $20 in angle aluminum/bolts/nuts/scrap wood.
