Brake Buddy Quit

My Brake Buddy Vantage quit yesterday. Model 39503 S/N 13845. Had it rebuilt by Hopkins 2 years ago. After pressing the Autostart button, the arm extends once then quits. From that point it responds to nothing. Any ideas on how to repair it? Any idea where I can get parts? I'm guessing it's the circuit board.

Low voltage can cause it to malfunction

Call Hopkins again. They probably can repair it again. Or if you are close, bring it to them and I think the Repair might even be free.

We occasionally have the same issue with our BB and it turned out to be low voltage. Our toad sits in the garage and seldom gets used until we are ready to travel. By then, the battery is less than fully charged. A few times just starting the toad engine for a minute fixed it. Now I connect a charger to it a day or two before we leave. Check the voltage at you connector for the power before doing anything drastic. Chuck

Our Brake Buddy has been "back to the shop" a few times in its 20 years of use. Most recently, it was damaged in a flip accident.

I am always pleasantly surprised how quick and reasonable cost the repairs are. One time, they were very helpful in shipping the repaired Brake Buddy to general delivery in a town we planned to visit.

Life would be better if more companies were this nice and helpful.
