Brake lights on coach and toad not working

2004 Itasca Horizon 40AD brake lights not working on Coach or Toad. Fuses OK in front fuse box and rear fuse box for toad wiring. Told by Freightliner it was a failure of the diode for brake lights and was sent a diode with 2 diodes attached to wires. Freightliner can't give a good location for diode as this diode has been upgraded due to its failure in the past. I'm at a campground in AZ and don't want to travel with no brake lights.

My 2003 Journey lost the tail lights not sure if it effected the toad because it wasn't connected. Turns out that it was the wires connected to the taillights the wire connections came apart. Take the tail lights out and see if that's the problem. Ray

Well DSharpe,
This is kind-a interesting to me. The reason is, we too have an '04 Itasca Horizon only, ours is a 36GD with the CAT C-7 330HP. Since our coach lights and toad lights (5 different toads in 10 years) have all worked flawlessly for those 10 years, I'm also interested in where these "diodes" are. I know right where the fuses etc. for the trailer plug are but, I'm not sure I've even heard of a diode or diodes in the system. Maybe I can dig around in the wiring diagrams and find something.

Scott
