I was surprised. Not only did the counter girl give me a blank stare after trying to sell me a recoil air hose, but she called the mother store and they were clueless too! Sad state of affairs, IMO.

Did you use Brake Masters break away unit on the toad also?
Yep.

What did you do for a breakaway on the motorhome so the quarter-inch line won't be left open if you have a break away?
I didn't install breakaway protection on the coach side. I may add it later, but I don't really think it's necessary. If the Jeep breaks away, I'm stopping immediately one way or another - either with the service brakes or the emergency brakes(in the event of low air pressure).

Patrick if you do your air ;brake test the procedure will not only test your ;brakes but the air compressor also and a healthy air compressor will not have any problem out running a 1/4 Line air leak. If a breakaway happens that is your least worry and all you have to do after stopping is remove what is left of the the toad ait line fitting, it is then sealed. We should do a break test a few times every year, i would bet most diesel coach owners never do the test.

When we traded our '02 DSDP for the present '09 Magna I dudn't have time or the parts to hook up the BrakeMaster 9160 till we got home. Got the parts and found that there was already a connection to the brake line bot no fitting on the end. I had driven some 2,500 miles with the 1/4" line completely open and didn't notice any loss of braking (all wheel disk) or air pressure problems.
