Broke my 2016 Jeep Cherokee installing flat tow harness

Install the flat tow harness 68321424AB with the exception of the power wire. I will be running wires to a switch under the dash so I don't have to be removing and reinstalling the fuse. Hooked up Autel code reader to clear any codes and none were showing. As I recall, pushed the ignition start button to cycle it off, gets to run and stays there. The display now has MIL light, PARK!, oil and battery lights alternately on, mileage flashing; ABS, traction control and BRAKE are lit. Left it alone for 45 minutes yesterday afternoon, same issues. Disconnected the battery over last night, hooked it up an hour ago and same issues. Still in run, recognizes key leaving the vehicle. Is there a reset? Owners manual is silent.
What am I missing?
I searched the web for others encountering problems after installing the harness but it seems like just me.

I don't have a Jeep but normally the power wire is mandatory to keep the Electric Power Steering system powered up while in towing mode, if your vehicle has an EPS. Have you tried temporarily connecting that power wire to power and see what happens?

Have you re-checked for new codes?

What is the fuse and switch used for? The 2016 Dinghy Towing Guide does not mention that at all.

I have one of these to install on our 2017 Cherokee, but I have not installed it yet, I have however read over the directions several times.

So let me ask for some clarification here on what you have done:

The kit has 2 separate wiring harness parts, the switch, and termination resistor pack that is installed inside the center arm rest, as well as the under hood part with the fuse that must be removed / inserted for function.

Do I understand correctly that you have installed the termination resistor pack and control switch in the center arm rest, and that you have installed the power relay under the hood adding a switch to bypass the need to insert the fuse?

Yes, the switch and CAN buss cables under the console are installed complete. The harness that ties into the PDC connector, ground connection and mounting the relay are done. When it stops raining, I will add the power switch, blocking diode and charge line for the cars' battery and to provide power for the EPS. The motorhome provides power (5 or 6 amps) for the EPS and when the motorhome engine is turned off, the EPS is no longer powered. These mods were made by others, I like them.

I would undo the wiring that you installed and see if the problem goes away and then start over.
