Buying 2009 CRV for Toad - Towing Set-up Questions

I am buying the CRV later this week and have been researching braking systems, tow bars etc. I have tentatively decided on the following, but am not sure what all I need. I have a 2016 Itasca Sunstar 30T.

Invisibrake
Falcon2 towbar
Fusemaster
Tow bar mounting bracket PN1559-1 style XL

Do I need a wiring kit, safety cables or any other accessories?

I'd like to have the coach brakes cause the CRV brake lights to come on versus buying a light kit. Camping World has a Universal Towed car wiring kit with diodes. Is that what I need?

Any recommendations or comments are appreciated.

Thanks,

David

We've been towing an '05 Honda Odyssey since we bought it in Dec '04. Using all RoadMaster gear including the BrakeMaster unit.
I used the RoadMaster diode kit and did the wiring and brake unit install myself.
Use RoadMaster base plate, brackets and Sterling towbar. No problems in all those years even changing to a different MH.

Hi David, check with your tow bar company to see if safety cables and wiring pigtail are included in the purchase or not. Wiring the Honda can be done many ways, but like Mr_D I used diodes on my 2009 Honda CRV. Not a bad job at all. I do not use any battery disconnect switches (Fusemaster) since I use a wire from my coach battery system to the Honda that keeps the toad battery completely charged all the time.

I set up my 2009 Honda CRV for towing performing all the labor myself. I use Blue Ox base plate/tow bar and M&G Engineering for the toad brakes. As for lighting, like Mr_D I used diodes. Not a bad job at all.
