Sorry, not true as many hybrid vehicles are able to be flat towed. I have many miles towing a Mercury Mariner Hybrid.

It is for only to allow pulling it onto a rollback tow truck to avoid damage some Teslas are only single axle but dual motor vehicles cannot be moved without electronic on the screen initiating tow mode

Flat tow hybrid

Flat towing is much harder on a vehicle than many people think. I would avoid it as much as possible.

We have a 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid that we flat tow behind our motorhome. Have been doing it since new and you only need to go to menu and disconnect the drive. You obviously haven't serviced Fords yet.

The 2021/2022 Ford Escape Hybrid can be flat towed. We have one, and really like it. We especially like 42 mpg when gas is $4.75 a gallon.

The Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring Hybrid can be towed 4 down.
Just one problem, currently no one makes the frame bracket.

If you contact Blue Ox they may build you one for nothing if you drive to Pender, NE so they can make a template. Seen it done there.

Wait, my 2015 Explorer has a "Tow Mode", but to my knowledge that mode is meant for towing a trailer behind, not for four down towing. For four down towing I use neutral with steering unlocked.
I've towed it thousands of mile with no problem.

I also looked at the 2021 Ford Escape HEV manual and it is towable 4 down.
Do not take things for granted. Use the WAG or better yet the SWAG principle.
WAG = Wild #*^ Guess
SWAG = Scientific Wild #*^ Guess (Read the manual)

I’ve been an engineer for 40 years, SWAG stands for stupid wild ass guess.

You have no experience towing a vehicle 4 down and only your mechanical experience and not reading anything (because it's not available) about how to do it? There are ways to solve problems and I have a charge line keeping the battery up. You hook up the vehicle, go to menu and put it in tow mode and leave. No hocus pocus and no bs.My choice.
