I put a jack with a wheel, from Northern Tools, on ours, and it's easy to move for me, and I'm in terrible physical shape. I also have a trailer hitch on the toad if it has to go far. At home, I have a trailer hitch on my lawn tractor. One adapts.

When I had my Acme I tack welded 4 pcs of 1" black pipe across the frame where the tires sat when perfectly centered. 1 on each side of the tires with a little bit to spare. Wife would drive on as I guided her. It was almost self centering. They car could never slide sideways if wet or whatever. Guy that bought it was going to grind the tack welds on 2 and move for a bit wider tire. He loved the idea. He had the identicle dolly stolen and was replacing it. I 4 down now.

That was a great idea with the pipes.
Bad form the dolly was boosted though.

I've got one of those too. It works very well, but I couldn't figure out a good way to carry it with us.

Excellent advise, when I dolly towed I normally loaded it myself and I would do the same, stop and check !!! Now that I tow 4 down I still stop and check.....sure doesn't hurt.

My Acme dolly had the loading ramps that stored on the tongue. If the dolly wouldn't have fit underneath, I was going to strap it to the stored ramps. Might be able to rework the handle so it attaches with spring clips or something to break down easily to haul. After using it the first time I would have done anything not to leave it behind.

I considered trying to put it on the ladder. I also considered using big wing nuts on the handle. Since putting the swivel wheel / jack on front, though, it actually moves around pretty easily.

It takes you longer to hook up a flat tow than load a tow dolly?
