Can this car be towed?
Thinking of getting a 2017 Ford Escape FWD..can this car be dolly towed??
and I don't think that the steering column can be unlocked..
If it can be towed with steering wheel locked on a dolly with a swivel plate,
which brand would that be??
Thank you for your input

Download the owner's manual from the Ford web site. That will provide the information. As for the dolly, the Demco KarKaddy SS has pivoting wheels on the dolly and requires the steering be locked.

Can only be towed on a dolly. If you need a pivot type dolly check Master Tow.

I have a 2014 Escape front wheel drive which can be dolly towed. From my manual it can only be dolly towed if it is Front Wheel Drive(FWD), not if it is Al Wheel Drive(AWD.)

If you don't want to have to unlock the steering while towing, any dolly with a pivot pan or steering axle will work.
Master Tow, Demco, Stehl, RoadMaster, etc.
The Demco KarKaddy SS is the most optioned dolly and has the highest weight due to all the options....so, I'd ensure it came with the wheeled tongue jack.
The front wheel drive Escape will fit on all of them with no issues.
Only real decision is electric or surge brakes.
Brakes are not required in many places, but it is smart and safer.
Gest luck
