Car battery dead after tow

We did a two day trip pulling car behind motorhome on dolly from Florida to Ohio. Next day, car would not start because of weak battery. Car was in park and everything was off. Strange???? Any ideas

Do you have a braking system pluged in to your toad? Do you have a charge line to your toad? With the key in OFF, some vehicles power their accessories. My 2000 Blazer requires the removal of a fuse to kill this load.

We pull a 2011 Ford Edge. Ford could not discover dead battery issue after being towed. Finally added a "toad charge" line. No problem since.

Did you have anything connected to the car electrical system? If not you either left something on or it could be just a coincidence that the battery went bad while you were towing?

I'd call it coincidence unless it kept happening.

My KIA Soul's battery went down a couple of times after a 2 day tow. The Soul requires the key to be left in the ignition so the steering does not lock. To solve the problem I installed a simple Marine Battery disconnect to the Negative battery post.
