CR-V tow mode
I have a 2013 that I just set up as a toad. I put it in "tow mode" according to the Manuel, but there is no indicator stating that it is in tow mode. Is there supposed to be an indicator or do you just hope you did it right?
Thanks for any input.

No "tow mode" on a CR-V that I know of.
Follow the "Recreational towing" instructions. I used the CR-V instructions on my previous '05 Odyssey and the present '14 CR-V. Did add charge lines to both though and put a larger battery in the CR-V.

I also have a 2014 CRV. Just follow the instructions in the manual carefully. I use a checklist each time. There is no indication that you are ready to tow.

Here's a link to your owner's manual. I just read the instructions for towing your 2013 CR-V (page 235 in the manual online) and they are essentially the same as for my 2006.
It doesn't say anything about "tow mode". What manual are you looking at?

gfs1943--that's the page I was using. I don't have the Manuel in front of me so I guessed on the correct wording.
Thanks for all the info from the group.
Safe travel.

My old '05 CR-V had a botton on the shifter that dropped ypu out of overdrive... hrlpful when towing a trailer but had nothing to do with towong as a Toad.
Agree current '14 CRV has nothing like this. Just follow the directipns for towing behind a motor home

There's no visual indication on the 2013 CRV. Just be SURE to follow the instructions!
As an added precaution, I pause 10 seconds when shifting between gear positions, and let it run 4 minutes instead of 3 before turning the engine off. Put your eyeballs on that shifter to be sure it is in Neutral and the parking brake is not engaged before getting out!

You are on the verge of seriously damaging your transmission. The Tow Mode setting on the side of the shifter relates to towing a trailer by the CR-V, not the CR-V being towed behind an RV. The Key must be in the on position and the transmission must be in neutral. Of course, the engine should not be running. Also you'll need to disconnect a couple of fuses or, as i've done, have a by-pass switch installed that turns off the electronics. I urge you to read your manual as it appears you don't understand the You are on the verge of seriously damaging your transmission. I encourage you to read your manual as it appears you're unaware of the specific requirements to tow. I assume your CR-V is AWD as while I've towed 3 Hondas, none were anything other than AWD. Good luck.

Dngreen51--I'm fully aware of all of that. I'm not referring to the button on the shifter. Me saying "tow mode" was the wrong use of wording. I've since gotten my question answered, but thanks for your input.
