I just bought a used Demco Kar Kaddy. I have no idea what year it is because the description sticker has been painted over and the paint seems to have had a type of solvent in it that removed all the pertinent information. My question is, how would a person register this thing if there is no chassis number? Wouldn't Demco have imprinted a number somewhere on the frame. If anyone has the answer, it would greatly reduce my aggravation.

In Wa state, registration and license are not requied. although ours has a fold up bracket. We do have a bill of sale with the serial number on it should we ever need it.

I needed a replacement running light and Demco was quite helpful, although over priced. If you can find the serial number, they should be able to help with the year.

I like it. It's very well made and the folding tung and ramps work very well. It is an extra item to store at campgrounds but I've always found a place.

My interest in the location of the chassis number was more for me finding what year the dolly was built and capacities and such . It would seem that if Demco wanted their product to be sold in any state of the union or foreign jurisdiction, they would stamp numbers somewhere on the frame. Never having owned a dolly before, I have only heard of states that do or did at one time require plates for anything that rolls down the road. You've got to admit that it isn't very often that the various governments don't tax every thing they can.

I looked at my downloaded manual and could not find the location documented there although it does refer to a serial number twice.

Mines in a snow pile or I would go out and look at mine to see if I find one. I know that I don't have a plate just a sticker from the state of Minn.
