We bought a 2015 with the intention of towing it. Very easy, just put it in neutral. Also wanted a motorcycle so bought a deck over dolly trailer and towed the Fiesta on the dolly part. My only issue is it's so small and low it's hard to get in and out of. We just sold it and will sell the trailer also and go a different route.
Make sure to buy a 2015 or newer due to tranny issues. Ford has extended the warranty on them till 2022.

We towed a 2014 Fiesta for 3 years sold it and purchased a 2017 Ford Taurus. I was using the Fiesta for work commute as well as a toad. Retired and moved to a larger vehicle. Never had any issues with the Fiesta, towed about 15k miles. Did install a battery disconnect switch per towing instructions. Followed the towing instructions in the owner's manual. Such a light vehicle didn't know that I was towing. Only negative is its a small car very uncomfortable for rear seat passengers.

We did buy a 2015, and it’s a manual transmission so that eliminates the battery issue. Ordered a Blue Ox base plate yesterday.

CONGRATULATIONS, except for the small back seat area you won't be disappointed. It was a trouble free car. Since you have the manual transmission the double clutch issue some owners were having with the automatic transmission won't affect you. I installed the blue ox base plate on mine. Took me about 4 hours.
