Dolly towing FWD VW Eos

Anyone know if I am dolly towing towing (demco) a FWD vehicle 2007 VW Eos, do I leave it in park while towing? I remember making sure steering wheel was unlocked once I got it on the dolly, and taking key out. Leaving it in park makes sense..and seems the only option, but ..
Thanks

Personally I'd leave it in Neutral only because no matter how secure the car is strapped down, it will still rock forward and backwards. This put an enormous strain on the "Park" gear within the automatic transaxle.
