Electronic trans Disconnect
Does anyone have any knowledge about electronic disconnect for an automatic transmission?
I'm looking at a 2006 Suzuki Grand Vetara with this setup. It has 250,000 km's on it. It's all setup for towing but I don't know anything about this transmission.

I have never heard of an "electronic" disconnect. There are manual disconnects. My Vitara was able to be flat towed without a disconnect. Mine was a 2001. Check your manual.

I had a 2000 and a 2003 and all I did for towing was to put the transfer case in neutral. Mine had a manual lever but the later models had a dial switch to select 2WD/4WD/Neutral. Your system has a full time AWD, but it still appears to have a neutral and says it is used for towing. Check your owner manual to verify. They are readily available online if you don't have a manual. There is also a section ion the owner manual on Recreational Towing.
