Equinox Firewall

Well it's time to take the plunge. I need to drill a hole in the firewall of our 2015 Equinox for the breakaway and power cable. Is there any chance anyone here has done this on this model and can give me any insight as to the best/safest location? It is very tight and there are lots of things that don't need any extra holes in there.

Look at the eTrailer installation video on the below link about how to pass through the existing firewall grommet. The pertinent information starts at about 9 minutes.

That would be nice but a camel hair wouldn't fit through mine. I need a spot about the size of a pencil. Thanks for the link anyway

I will look there again. That video is actually a little different than the one I saw previously.

I just installed Air Force One on our 2019 Equinox. There is a large rubber grommet behind the brake pedal that is much larger than needed. I cut about 3/8” X to push the air line and wire through.

I finally went underneath and came up through the floor under the console for mine on 2015 Equinox!

Well I followed that video again and the small boot I found the first time was the wrong one. I found the larger one and it was actually pretty easy. Thanks everybody !!
