Escape Battery Issue

For the people that were having the 12 volt battery drain on the Escape Hybrid while towing, have you solved that problem and how was it solved.

Very interested in Escape but the 12 volt battery issues spook me.

I added the RVi towed battery charger. It seems to have solved the issue for me. I didn't get any battery warning messages on either of my last two full days of towing.

The Roadmaster umbilical cord comes in two colors. Blue has 5 wires and red has 6 wires. It is important to note that only the red (6 wire) cord has the center wire or charging wire for your towed vehicle. You also need to make sure either your towed car braking system includes the charging wire, otherwised you need to add a charging wire. etrailer has the kit and videos to install the charging wire on your vehicle. it is very easy to do. I have also purchase the remote starting battery sold at Harbor Freight, cost around $70 on sale. I have used this battery a number of times before i learned all the items listed above about how to charge your towed vehicel.
