Falcon 2 Hitch - One Side Won't Unlock
I can't get one of the arms to unlock on my Roadmaster hitch so it won't go in. Will make hooking up very difficult as you have to be spot on to get the big pin inserted on the tow vehicle. I've tried the helper lever but the pin is all the down so didn't help. I've tried moving the pin up and down to no avail. Any tips on what I can do to get the pin to release?
Just a little more info, the last time I unhooked, the tow vehicle was sloped a little down from the MH. Since I couldn't get the rods loose enough to get the big pins out where connected to the TV, I put the vehicle in gear and gently drove a little forward to take the stress off while the wife held down the pins that lock the hitch rods out. One side of the hitch came loose but the other side did not and is now stuck in the out and locked position. It is not bent. I usually try to hook up and unhooked on level ground, but this time I did not and now have this problem. Thank for suggestions.

Call road master. They sell rebuild kits. Mine froze once, I just kept working it until it released.

You may have a bent rod. When we got our coach, it came with the Roadmaster 6000lb Falcon and it had a bent arm. Took over 2 hrs in a press to get it straight. Now that we have a 2011 Ford Edge weighing close to 2000lbs more for a toad, I got the Roadmaster 10,000lb Blackhawk. Bigger is better.

Thanks all. I will fiddle with it more today to see if I can get it to unlock. I see a new one is a little under $600 so that is an option. My toad is about 4000#s so don't think I need to upgrade to a heavier duty hitch. Do you know of places around/near Mission Texas that will over haul these hitches?

RM overhauled my F2 at the Quartzsite RV Show. If there's a large RV show near you, they might be there.

Thanks. Will have to look for one. There is a gajillion RVs in the Rio Grand Valley (snow bird) area so you think there would be something around here. BTW, I did fiddle with it some more and used some silicone spray and got it working again. Works nice now. But did notice parts are getting loose so still need to have it rebuilt. Thanks to all that have responded.
