FCA "Chrysler" shifter recall

I am just curious if anyone has completed the shifter recall on a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and if they have had any issues getting the vehicle into neutral towing mode. Mine works flawlessly right now, and I hate to fix things that are not broken, although safety does trump. We had a roll away on my car once, and it is scary, as well as easy to have happen. Now we use the parking brake whenever exiting vehicle on flat or grades.

X2.......seems software Engineers have a habit of messing up one thing while fixing another.
We have a trip coming up in a few weeks - gonna hold off on the reflash until we get back home for a while. By that time, should be some real world experience to review.

An observation.
Unlike the aviation world where a recall is mandatory, sometimes before the next flight, the auto world has this great demand on manufacturers to issue, contact owners, and follow on recalls, but no requirement on owners to do anything. But the owners are free to sue the manufacturers when something goes wrong.

Just a heads up that was posted on the Jeep forum regarding the shifter recall. Once the recall is performed, you will no longer be able to use an automatic car wash, because the car automatically goes into park when the door is opened. The only work around is to override the automatic park feature by latching the seatbelt before the door is opened. Unfortunately, this is a big miss on FCA's part. I will definitely wait a little before having this recall performed.
