Fiat 500X

For what it's worth, the Fiat 500x, six speed manual transmission and front wheel drive is NOT flat tow able according to Fiat America, the owners manual and the dealer. I'm told there is no "transfer case" on the "X" model which stand for "cross over".

That's too bad. We had the 2014 500L and it was a great towed.

So what is the issue? It's NOT Flat Towable so get something else or put it on a trailer.
Oh yeah and don't look at the Jeep Renegade it's the same vehicle.

You'll note they "imply" it can be towed but reading further they make no mention of it's flat tow capability. It's called marketing, or lying? I called Fiat America, the dealer and Remco Industries. All said the same.

The issue is, from what I've been able to read, the Fiats are great flat towing vehicles and appear to be popular. I simply wanted to share my knowledge from the three phone calls I made and potentially prevent someone from making a mistake, as I almost did. Concur on the Jeep.

You will not get an argument out of me. "You get what you pay for".
