For you guys flat towing a 2017-2019 GMC Acadia, could you please confirm a couple details related to the procedure/set up? I recently purchased a 2019 Acadia and presently getting it set up to flat tow but have the following questions:

1. Does the Acadia ignition button stay in the off position while towing?
2. If ignition button stays in off position, then I would assume no electronics remain on and no charge line is required to keep the battery charged correct?

The ignition stays in off position
No charge wire is required
You do need to put car in neutral. There is spot by shifter that you depress to do this.

Thank you for confirming those questions. Do you presently flat tow an Acadia? If so, do you recall which wiring kit you're using? Yesterday while getting my brake system (Brakemaster 9100/9160 by Roadmaster) installed, I noticed the brake lights come on when the brake pedal is pressed with the ignition in the off position. I ordered the wiring kit that feeds from the motorhome and ties into the rear brake/turn signal lights with diodes but wanted to confirm this is the correct kit. Any thoughts?

I actually sold my Acadia a few months ago and tow a Silverado now.
I made my own wiring harness using diodes back at the tail lights. Yes, your tail lights will come on when brake pedal is pushed no matter the ignition position. That is ok
