Flat towing 2017 Chevy Spark LS

Looking to purchase a 2017 Spark already set up with blue ox. If anyone has a 2017/2018 Chevy Spark as a toad with manual trans is the sequence for towing prep: hook up, turn key to ACC, put car in neutral, disconnect battery? Owner's manual does not state to disconnect battery, but it would make sense to conserve battery. Please send responses to mulletmasters@aol.com.
