Flat towing

Has anyone had any experience flat towing a Ford C-Max Energizer.
I am currently using a dolly but would prefer to flat tow.

As you probably know, it's not listed in the Good Sam guide

https://webcontent.goodsam.com/motor...inghyGuide.pdf

but, the Fusion energizer is listed and if the mechanical components are the same it """may""" be able to be towed but I would do some major research before attempting to flat tow your car.

Question Towing a TOAD with a Class C RV

I am very new to RVing. My wife and I are considering getting a Class C. We are not sure what make or model. My concern is whether it will be able to tow a small car? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time and effort.

Store : Remco

Remco will tell you how to flat tow any car if it's possible.

For example it says a 2018 Ford C Max is towable 4 down as is and lists the equipment necessary to connect it to the coach.

In addition to the links identified above, let me add my own observations.

I have a C-Max Energi and it has been a great toad. Because my brake system includes battery charging, I have never had to pull fuses or had a drained battery. The installation of base plate, lights, and brake system is a chore because of tight spaces, but the end result is fabulous.

Never had any issues and, to use the overused expression, the only way I know it is back there is to see it in the rear camera. My personal habit is to not take off the spreader bar on the hitch (pure laziness) and I have to silence the parking avoidance alarm every time I start the car because the front sensors see it.

My everyday driver is a Ford Escape that has nearly the same cockpit and feel.

Yup, it is towable 4 down, travels well, and is not too small to be a comfortable car for side trips and normal errands.

Most class Cs have no trouble towing a small car.
