Is is okay to disconnect the battery if we are having a problem with the front tires tracking the mh?

I dont think your battery has anything to do with your front wheels tracking. It depends on what type of power steering system you have. There are some posts about a thing they call the death wobble. I have never experienced it myself.

No. First, you have not said what kind of vehicle exactly (make, model year, EXACT model). Second, some need battery power to be towed safely. A dead or disconnected battery can cause all kinds of expensive damages and maybe even a fire.
If the vehicle manufacturer wants the battery disconnected their towing procedure will say that.

Only if your vehicle's manual says you can. Otherwise...no.
Oops, Ray beat me to it.

Is this issue new? How long have you flat towed this toad with your MH?
I'd be looking at other factors first.
1. Is the tow bar and base plate properly assembled and connected?
2. Check all four shocks/struts on the toad.
3. Check tire pressures on the toad.
4. Is the road rutted? I've seen where the MH's dullies ride one way in the ruts and the toad wants to find it's own path, creating apparent wobble. Does it wobble on recently resurfaced roads?
5. How is the toad loaded weight wise?

This is the same vehicle I posted about the front tires not tracking the MH. It is a 2024 Grand Cherokee Summit L. Other people are having the same problem with their vehicle. Some of the responses have been that it is thought the car was "waking up". I thought I read a post that suggested disconnecting the battery so the car couldn't "wake up". We thought we would try that if nothing else works.
We follow all the instructions for setting up the car for towing. We have been to a local dealer and called Jeep. No one knows how to fix this problem. I am purchasing Faraday pouches, but someone posted that didn't help either. I pretty much have shut off everything in UConnect. One thing I noticed last time, the car beeped after all this was done, and when I walked passed the car it was making a noise like the height was adjusting.

ArleneM, I just purchased a 2024 Grand Cherokee Overland because the manual specifically states it can be towed behind an RV. Your post concerns me! I have not installed the Blue OX base plate yet or the braking Air Force One. So I will follow your story if there is a correction to your problem. Please keep in touch with me at rguidry@na5q.com
Such a large investment should be made good by Jeep, if the manual and dealership says it can be towed with no problems.

flat towing
There are a lot of posts on this subject. Sorry I can't tell you where to find the 11 pages I just read thru for the second time. I'm getting nervous because we are leaving for a trip in 2 weeks and seriously thinking about towing our 2004 Wrangler which we kept. We are going to take the MH and GC Summit out and test it with all the recommendations I've read. Search around for the other posts. I'm not good at navigating thru forums.
