I hope you will get other replies, but IMO “most” front engine gassers offer a 4,000 pound difference between GVWR and GCVWR. I think most of them come with a hitch rated at no more than 5,000 and ALL of them will have a fabricated extension added to the ends of the chassis rails, to which most of them bolt on the hitch. Lots of weak links there, me thinks.
Bottom line, I would be very careful and NOT even consider towing a 6,000 pound PU behind a front engine gasser unless some serious upgrading was done to the frame extension and hitch.

Our neighbor has a 32' Class A gasser (Fleetwood Fiesta) and tows a 2016 GMC Canyon. It's not a full size truck, but it has the diesel engine, which puts it close in weight to some of the full size models. His does okay with the first generation Ford V-10.
