Flat towing and hauling a golf cart

Does anyone have any thoughts or have even done this. We have a Fleetwood MH and flat tow a Jeep Unlimited. We’re going the month of June and would love to take our Gulf cart along. We live on the Gulfcoast and several months ago, I saw a MH flat towing, with a gulf cart mounted between the tow vehicle and MH. Unfortunately, it was moving, and I couldn’t see how they did it.

Cricket Golf Carts are the “mini golf carts”. We have one and use the VersaHaul ATV Carrier to transport it.

Try a "Tandem Tow Dolly" by Race City RV. You can specify the size of platform you want. I had a 10' platform that carried a Goldwing trike and Escapade trailer. I towed a 2010 Unlimited Rubicon on the dolly. It worked great.

Your Revolution does not have enough rear axle capacity to have it on the back of your DP... some combination of a trailer/tow dolly.

I have hauled my golf cart and my '16 Honda Fit behind my '01 Country Coach Intrigue on an 18' open trailer but it is a tight fit. The rear step has to be removed off the cart to make the load narrow enough and it just does fit on an 18' trailer but it does tow VERY well.

We just purchased a '17 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited to flat tow behind the same RV. the only way I can see to haul the Jeep and the Golf cart, I am going to have to buy a longer trailer, which I really want to avoid because it makes it so inconvenient at most campgrounds due to total length of the combined unit.

They do make a very small cart that can be carried in the cargo area under the RV, but it is tight for two riders. Some of my friends have these, but they are out of the question for me. Good luck.

I saw two rigs a few weeks ago that were flat towing a Jeep behind the MH and a small trailer hooked to the Jeep with a golf cart in it.

Over length in most states and illegal in many that require a kingpin hitch for 3. Good news if stopped (not likely) is you can separate and have the DW drive the jeep with or without the trailer.

Golf Cart Windshield & Roof Secure???

For those of you towing a cart on a trailer, have you ever had any issues with loosing either the windshield or the roof of the golf cart? I'd hate to have to take them both off to just drive down the road!

I've towed a golf cart for several years when I was shooting sporting clays. I'd recommend removing the windshield since it is easy to do.
But, I've towed several thousand miles without removing the windshield. I folded it down and tied it where it couldn't flip up.
The top, I've never seen a problem towing.

Thanks for your info. I just went out to see what's involved and I think that I'll just take both of them off! A 31 year old Club Car deserves to be well taken care of.

Oh, just remembered. Remove the seat or run a strap across it.

I do this as well. Always afraid it will fly off going down the highway
