What does the owners manual say??
Likely the dealer service rep doesn't know, but the manual will tell you true...

Lots of us. Pull fuse #8 or put in a switch. Accessory and neutral and you won't even know its behind you. Good thing the rear monitor works .

I like pulling mine so far. Light and easy to hook up. I strongly suggest the fuse switch, that fuse is a BOOGER

Lot's of folks pulling them and always consult the manual for the model year of anything you want to tow.
