Flat towing Lincoln Nautilus
Just purchased a 2021 Lincoln Nautilus all-wheel drive, 2.7 V-6 engine. I have a Blue Ox 10,000 tow bar from a previous tow vehicle. The installer that has quoted me for installation of the base plates and braking system has indicated there is not a Lighting kit or a wiring harness available for this application. I called BLUE OX and they confirmed the same.
If anyone has experienced this situation with the Nautilus, I will be grateful to hear of any solution you may have discovered for a remedy.
Thanks ,
Jerry Houser

I think this post would do better in the 'Toads and MH Towing' forum under "Motorhome Forums". If this is the Lincoln version of a Ford Edge you should definitely get some answers over there....

Thank you Dark Sky. I will try to move it there. Hopefully, I can get some answers. Somewhat disappointing to purchase a vehicle that has been recommended in several RV magazines for a toad and then face these difficulties. Thanks again.

I used discrete diodes for my Nautilus TOAD taillight wiring. I also added a positive side battery disconnect for use when towing. Everything is working great. The owners manual is horrible at describing the process of readying for a tow. Almost al settings are remembered after restoring power. I added a Roadmaster Invisibrake to my setup as well. The controller is in back near the spare tire. A separate brake switch is needed to confirm braking in my coach. Finding a firewall pass-through location was difficult because the "normal" pass-through is occupied by the manual pull-cable contraption for disconnecting the transmission while towing. Feel free to PM me for more info and I'm willing to talk things over if you'd like.

BonS, not sure how to PM you. However, I am grateful for your response. I am struggling with how to accomplish this task. I am in Treasure Island, FL and having to deal with a very limited amount of base plate installers around St. Petersburg. Only one guy has done this before on the Nautilus and he actually installed magnetic lights on the back of the Nautilus. Not what I want at all. I will gratefully invite your knowledge and any suggestions you might share with me. Are you willing to discuss by phone at your convenience?
Thank you

Call e-trailer. I believe that is where my installer got the wiring kit. Little complicated but he got it right
