Ford Edge Titanium

Has anyone tried to wire a 2016 Ford Edge Titanium for flat towing? It seems that with its LED tail lights in cannot use a traditional wiring kit. Thanks for any help or suggestions offered

Why would the tail light type make it more difficult for wiring? Are they 12v? Diodes may need to be put in to prevent back feed to the rest of the lighting system, but that's been done before. I don't know how your '16 Ford Edge Titanium is equipped, but the owner's manual has lots of do's and don'ts about different models and recreational towing.

Ford Edge Titanium wiring

We just had our 2016 Ford Edge Titanium set up and it took and experienced tech and this diagram to get it done right . The tech said it was a tough installed due to lack of room. We just got back from a 1500 mile trip towing the Edge and it was a good experience. If the diagram doesn't post send me a message with your email and I will send it to you qu144645_800.jpg photo - Gary Snyder photos at pbase.com

If you have the upgraded Sony sound system in the Edge, the subwoofer makes getting the wiring plugs to the right tail light difficult. I have to cut the wires to get them through and then spliced them back together.

Ford Edge Titanium toad wiring

Thanks to all for responding. This is a vexing and discouraging problem since we really like the car. The diagram from pbase.com is for a Ford Edge SEL and I am not sure if it has the same tail light as the Titanium or not.
I will take the diagram to my installer today and hope for the best. Thanks again all.
