Ford is ending most of its US car sales
Reports are that Ford is going to stop selling all cars except for the Mustang and a new crossover. I’m not sure which models are towable, but there may be some good deals on toads coming up!

Well,,
This remains to be seen. Walking away from certain markets in this day and age, and allowing competitors to take over those markets is, well, again, remains to be seen. Now, on the other hand, GM walked away from participating in the RV market when it dropped the Workhorse chassis and supplimentle supply of the 8.1L engine so that Ford, could be the sole supplier of Gas chassis's and gas engines. Never understood that one myself. But, I'm not at the top of the food chain here so, we'll see what happens.

I doubt that FOMOCO is going to abandon everything except the Mustang and a cross-over...The F-150/250/350/450/550/650/750 and their sub sets are their bread and butter..
AND they must still meet the gas economy standards set by the fed...The only way they can meet those standards is with the mini/fuel sipping auto's.

The title of the article is somewhat misleading in that Ford is still going to sell SUVs and trucks, but the only cars will be the Mustang and a Focus crossover.
The Fusion, Taurus and the C-Max are going away.

The key word here: Sedans. They are going to stop selling sedans. Everything else is good to go, and even CNN says "most" sedans.
Ford's decision to drop sedans and hatchbacks makes sense. Here's why

Since the retirement of the Crown Vic, the only cars that Ford has been able to sell is Mustangs and the Focus. GM and Chrysler have their car niches and will fill them.
With the return of the Ranger and Bronco, which is driven by customer demand, most consumers are tired of minivans and most sedans...besides even Honda is having trouble selling its latest version of the Accord.
The market is flattening and the mfrs are going to focus on what their strongest sellers are until the next wave of innovation in design arrives and they all start to race once again to take the lead.

I'm not so sure it's a case of Ford will stop selling sedans so much as it's a case of folks stopped buying sedans.

I believe the key to understanding the Ford model line-ups after 2019 is here:
" Ford says that by 2020, 90 percent of its offerings will be "trucks, utilities, and commercial vehicles." The Dearborn company also says it's exploring potential new models that "combine the best attributes of cars and utilities, such as higher ride height, space and versatility."
Like the re-newed Bronco:
Utilities are what buyers want, so why build - just to basically give away the sedans and hatchbacks
