Ford Transit Class C towing capacity

Have noticed recently the Winnegago Class C's on a Ford Transit chassis have a 2,000 towing capacity, yet the Thor versions have a 5,000 towing capacity ... anyone know why the disparity?

Maybe so, but it seems like a perfectly valid question for a forum such as this .... others on this forum may have noodled through the issue, I like to learn from others instead of corporations. I could be wrong, it has happened before.

I'll hang out here for a while to see.
