FYI. 2020 Silverado production changes

We ordered our 2020 Silverado back in March. Was told about 5 weeks for delivery. Went ahead and ordered a base plate from e trailer.

Then came Covid and a plant shut down. Our order is a double cab, and once production restarted they mostly built crew cabs. Finally received our truck around August 1st.

When trying to install the base plate, it didn't fit. Found out that GM started to use 2021 parts on remaining 2020's. Dealer that was doing the install bought another one from Roadmaster and e trailer agreed to accept my new, but 6 month old return, minus 20%.

So, if you're equipping a 2020 Chevy truck, be careful when ordering a baseplate.
