Your Ventana is a rear radiator DP. A rear radiator DP is just a large vacuum cleaner. It sucks up air, dirt, dust and road debris, throws it on the engine and then blows it out the back of the coach. When I use to stand at the rear of my rear radiator Diplomat, the wind would part my hair. Everything coming out the back is being thrown onto your toad.

With a gasser, you don't have this issue. All the cooling and air movement is done up front. All you get from a gasser is a small amount of dirt and dust from moving over the road way.

When I had my Diplomat, after a long day of travelling in dirty conditions, I tried to wash the toad immediately after we stopped at our destination to keep from getting dirty every time we went near the car. Our toad still gets dirty with our side radiator, but not like it did with the rear radiator. The side radiator is picking up cleaner air from the side of the coach.

I haven't yet noticed that a DP leaves the towed any dirtier than behind a gas rig in the 17 years I've had the 3 DP's.

We're talking rear radiator, not side! If you haven't noticed a difference, you must not be paying attention!
