GCWR?

I have a GVWR posted on the info sticker near the driver seat, but it does not list the GCWR. Trying to figure out if I can set up to go 4-down with my 2011 Wrangler Unlimited. I have a '96 Georgie Boy Pursuit. P30 chassis with a 454 and stock transmission. Having a very hard time finding any info about towing capacity. Anyone out there with a similar setup? TIA!

Is there a rating on the hitch receiver? That's usually your practical limit, even if the GCWR is higher.

Typically that chassis in those years had a 4000 lb tow rating (GCWR-GVWR), with either a 4000 or 5000 lb receiver mounted. However, the P30 chassis manual states (see Figure 1-6) that the motorhome version of the chassis with 4L80E transmission and 4.63 o 5.13 axle has a GCWR of 20,000 lbs.

Thanks, Gary. Cleaned off the hitch, and found an old sticker with a 3500# rating. Looks like my Wrangler is going to be too heavy. We're now in the market for a lighter toad - so if you have any suggestions....
Thanks again!

If you can find an old Chevy Geo tracker4-door or Suzuki Grand Vitara, you can have an off-road capable 4WD SUV that is easily towable and weighs right around 3000 lbs. I owned a couple of them and towed for 50k or more miles. If you want something newer and offroad isn't a requirement, maybe a Chevy Sonic or a low-option Malibu sedan, Ford Fiesta or low-option Focus, or an older Chevy HHR.
