Good Place in Northern Colorado to Get a Grand Cherokee Set up For Flat Towing

I am looking for a good shop who can install a baseplate, light wiring and brake system. Anyone have any recommendations on a shop that they have used in the northern Colorado area. Looking at Roadmaster baseplate as I have a Roadmaster tow bar that I used on a 2009 the new Jeep is a 2020 Overland Grand Cherokee.

I'm looking for the same for a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I am having the dealer quote the installation, but am afraid that they will come in high. I know Boulder RV does this, both in Boulder and in Longmont.

Just got this done in Oklahoma. Checked with the dealership, and they wanted $2500 just to install the baseplate. Pretty sure that didn't include the actual parts, either.

YMMV, but we got a great deal by going to a dedicated hitch / trailer shop. Not only do they pretty much only do this type of work, they're typically better priced than any stealership ever thought about being. We could probably have saved some dollars here or there if I'd done parts of the install myself, or if we'd gone with cheaper parts or cut corners somewhere, but we ended up feeling VERY confident with the parts selection, as well as knowing the work had been done correctly. And we got some great tips for pulling a toad from the owner (who also has a Jeep GC he tows regularly). Might be just me, but it often seems to help get better service, consideration, and scheduling to ask them to set it up the way they would if it were their own vehicles.

Plus, we were out the door and on the road for right at $4K - parts, install, and helpful tips included.

Best of luck to OP and others -- but keep an eye out for a dedicated trailer/hitch shop -- you might be surprised.

I tend to agree with REZ. Some of the hitch shops are not only good at installing baseplates also experts at wiring.

In the Denver area, The Hitch Corner has a good reputation. They are factory authorized for both Roadmaster and Blue Ox. I believe they are in Littleton so I'm not sure if that's too far for you or not.

Even though I haven't used them myself, I know several who have had their baseplates installed and bought their tow bars from them. All have been happy with the service and the prices.
