With the exception of certain models.
You really need to verify each one you look at.
It has to have a transfer case that can be put into Neutral. For instance Trackhawk & SRT versions are not flat towable.
Also, when you go new enough you will be dealing with Electric Power Steering. The earlier Jeeps with Electric Power Steering need a special kit from Jeep to disable the Electric Steering. Eventually Jeep programmed the computer to disable the Electric Steering while going through the process in the manual to dinghy tow.
Also, some years many folks have experience what is know as the 'death wobble' while towing. If you can I would recommend you avoid these. Or if you have a competent alignment shop who can set you up just a bit outside of stock specs this issue can usually be resolved.
I recommend highly you simply download the Owners Manual for each model/year you are interested in and reference this first. Second reach out to a Jeep dealer and ask them if it is and if there are any possible issues with that model/year for flat towing.
We use a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland (V-8) and it works perfectly. The only complaint I have is when you are done towing sometimes the Electric Power Steering doesn't enable right away. Sometimes you have to turn it off and on again or wait a bit then it wakes up.
Also, I recommend if you have a newer Jeep with Electric Assist you also install a charger for your battery on your tow vehicle while towing. These newer ones are very sensitive to low battery issues.
Good luck!
